Last month, the typhoon caused a lot of damage everywhere, but there are still many people still living as evacuees.
Not only typhoons, but other disasters and earthquakes cause people to live evacuated lives.
According to the Reconstruction Agency, as of September 9, 2022, the number of people evacuated due to the Great East Japan Earthquake is about 32,000.
The Japan Stroke Association asks people who continue to be evacuated due to various disasters and earthquakes in various places to continue taking their medicines.
After a stroke, to prevent recurrence, I think people continue to take oral medications and are instructed to actively drink water.
If you must evacuate suddenly, be sure to bring your usual medications with you.
In some cases, you may not be able to go home for more than a few days, so if you must evacuate, it is safe to take your medical notebook with you.
The Japan Stroke Association says on its website, "We recommend that you ask for the medication from the medical team or medical institution and continue to take it."
It's tempting to keep your medication in an evacuation bag just in case, but it's hard to forget it's there or it's expired, so keep a week's worth of medication in an easy-to-reach place, like your front door, and be prepared Very important.
Even now, it pains me to think that there are still people in the shelter.
