I'm Aoi Hashima , an occupational therapist working in Saga Sumai and Fukuoka.
When you think of using public services after a stroke, many people probably think of using long-term care insurance services.
After discharge, it's easy to imagine rehab at home, daycare in a facility, and home improvements like installing handrails.
Also, if living at home is difficult, some may imagine entering a facility related to care insurance.
However, in order to use nursing care insurance, nursing care certification is required, but if you do not have certification requirements, you cannot apply for certification.
□ Over 65 years old
□ People over 40 years old and under 65 years old with any specific medical condition
If you meet one of the above two conditions, you can apply for nursing certification.
"Cerebrovascular disease" is included in certain diseases between the ages of 40 and 65.
Cerebrovascular disease, cerebral infarction, cerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, etc.
Even if you are under the age of 65 and need nursing due to a stroke, etc., if you are over the age of 40, you can apply for certification in nursing.
However, if you have a cerebral infarction at the age of 35, you cannot apply for a nursing certificate by yourself, nor can you use nursing insurance.
In this case, if you have a certificate of physical disability, you can use the services of the Comprehensive Support for Persons with Disabilities Act.
This includes implementing rehabilitation, using short-term accommodation and home improvement.
The following "Use of Welfare Services for Persons with Disabilities" is a pamphlet on the Comprehensive Support for Persons with Disabilities Act.
This is the booklet I use a lot.
We would appreciate it if you could use it for people who are looking for something other than nursing insurance, stroke patients who do not qualify for nursing certification, and those who support them.
