CarePlus was founded in 1997 by Loom's third-generation representatives, before long-term care insurance began. In the wave of technological innovation and globalization in the loom industry, we are the first to enter the field of long-term care and look to the future. Based on our manufacturing experience, we have chosen to sell and lease care products as our business.

This is the first multifaceted effort to develop welfare services. For example, a long-term care support office (nursing manager's office) is set up at the same time as welfare equipment rental. This makes it possible to obtain information as quickly as possible. We also built a large exhibition hall to introduce welfare equipment. It was an era when the general public didn't know about assistive devices, but this allowed first-time users to rent " don't know how " assistive devices. In this way, we gain trust in the field of assistive devices.

"TASTE" is a spoon and fork developed by CarePlus in collaboration with Rehabilitation Hospital Yawata Medical Center and Universal Design Specialist Toshiharu Arai, which can be easily used by anyone. What I particularly care about is that the table is pretty and you want to use it. I have a strong desire not to look like a disabled person. Plus, it's long enough for deep Japanese cutlery, and it's lightweight with a slightly pointed tip that feels like chopsticks. You can scoop udon noodles with a fork, cut or poke stew with a spoon. TASTE was created by letting people with illnesses and disabilities try it and won a Good Design Award in 1999 .

The philosophy of Care Plus is "Taru-Knowing enough-" , knowing what is needed. These tools shouldn't have too much or too little functionality for people with an illness or disability.
